Our Team

All the naturopathic doctors at the Centre for Natural Medicine are licensed, board certified and registered in Manitoba.  All doctors are members of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the
Manitoba Naturopathic Association.
 



Dr. Suzanne Danner, ND

 

Dr. Danner holds a Doctoral Degree of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from the four-year program, Dr. Danner completed a one-year residency. Prior to her medical training, Dr. Danner obtained her B.Sc. in Nutrition from the Faculty of Human Ecology at the University of Manitoba (1990).

Dr. Danner uses the classical tools of Naturopathic medicine to treat disease. At the cornerstone of her approach is clinical nutrition. She has a special interest in women's health issues and pediatric care. Dr. Danner is a frequent lecturer and contributer to various magazines (Winnipeg Women's Magazine) and newletters. She is the past president of the Manitoba Naturopathic Association (2002-2004), She shares her life and her practice with her husband Dr. Gordon Sims, and their two small children, Avery and Caitlyn. Dr. Danner is board certified and registered in Manitoba.

Dr. Sara Korsunsky, ND

Dr. Sara Korsunsky is a registered, licensed Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, having completed the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine’s four year postgraduate program. Prior to attending CCNM, Dr. Korsunsky graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor degree in Sciences with honours.

Dr. Korsunsky is trained in Acupuncture and Traditional Asian Medicine, Botanical Medicine, Homeopathy, Physical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Lifestyle Counseling, and IV Therapies.  She has a family medical practice with special interests in stress related disorders and immune diseases.

Dr. Korsunsky uses both Naturopathic and conventional medicine to live healthily with Lupus and a young family.  Her unique experience as a patient and Naturopathic doctor with a chronic illness enable her to share her positive healing experiences with others who feel challenged by managing their health.
 
She has a passion for public speaking on Naturopathic Medicine and has written many health articles for Canadian magazines such as Hearts of the Country, Mompreneur, and the Alberta Lupus Society.
She is an active member of the Manitoba Naturopathic Association and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. She speaks both English and French.

Dr. Dean Schrader, ND
Dr. Dean Schrader, ND received his Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Biology from the University of Winnipeg. He obtained his Doctorate with Academic Honors from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon (1999).

Dr. Schrader has a general family practice and treats a wide variety of conditions including chronic disease, allergies, gastrointestinal concerns, thyroid, anxiety and depression to name a few.  He treats all ages including pediatrics.  Dr Schrader is trained in Bowen Therapy, Botanical Medicine, Homeopathy, Physical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Lifestyle Counseling, Intravenous (IV) Therapies and Hydrotherapy.  He has a passion for running and has been a guest speaker at the Running Room on the topic of Nutrition and Running.

Dr. Schrader is board certified and a registered member of the Manitoba Naturopathic Association and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. He serves the Manitoba Naturopathic Association as a committee member and was previously a board member.

Dr. Gordon Sims, ND, L.Ac

Dr. Sims graduated from a four year Doctoral program at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland Oregon. In addition to the Naturopathic program, Dr. Sims obtained a Masters in Oriental Medicine (board certified acupuncturist and herbalist NCCAOM).

The faculty of medicine at the University of Manitoba has asked Dr. Sims to participate in lectures to educate medical students about naturopathic and chinese medicine.

Dr. Sims is a frequent lecturer (please see up and coming events) and past president of the Manitoba Naturopathic Association. In addition, Dr. Sims enjoys writing on relevant medical issues. Please look in your local community newspaper for the next article.

Prior to his medical training, Dr. Sims obtained his B.Sc. from the faculty of Engineering at the University of Manitoba (1989, Distinction). Dr. Sims worked in the field of biomedical engineering obtaining a patent for an artificial knee prosthesis.

Dr. Sims examines each condition from both a Naturopathic and Classical Chinese medical perspective. Both systems of medicine are used to treat disease. The Naturopathic tools include botanical medicine, homeopathy, and nutritional medicine. The Classical Chinese Medicine tools include Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbal Therapy.

Dr. Sims is trained to treat a wide variety of conditions including chronic diseases. Dr. Sims is board certified and registered in Manitoba.

 

Natalie Reimer Anderson , RHN, B.Ed.

Natalie Reimer Anderson, RHN, B.Ed.

Natalie has been a teacher and coach in Manitoba for over a decade.  Due to personal and family health concerns she began to pursue an education in nutrition and fitness.  Out of this pursuit was born her passion for a mind, body, spirit approach to wellness.  Natalie is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (Canadian School of Natural Nutrition), Certified Personal Trainer (CanFitPro), who also holds a Bachelor of Education (University of Winnipeg).  As a First Line Therapy Lifestyle Educator she combines her expertise and experience to empower the individual to make positive lifestyle changes that will support their journey toward optimal health.
